We classify our Rhode Island Red cockerels into two categories - breeder quality or breeder culls.
 
Breeder quality cockerels are young birds that we believe are developing to meet all or most of the points called out in the APA Standard of Perfection for Rhode Island Reds. 
 
Breeder culls typically display more black plumage than breeder quality. If you just need a flock protector, want to raise RIR hybrids, or would like to try them for table fare, breeder cull cockerels are a fine choice.
